Seven Children Taken By State

Little Ones to be Committed to the Home for Dependent Children This Morning by the Board. Most Pitiable Case That of Fritz Douth, Whose Father Committed Suicide - The Henderson Youngsters Among Crowd.; One of the pitiable cases now under the care of the board is that of 9-year-old Fritz Douth, one of the six children left by Philip Douth, at one time foreman of the Denver iron and wire works. Douth went to Pueblo about a year ago and opened a business. Everything went wrong and finally he killed himself. His wife did not survive the shock more than a few weeks, and the six children were divided among Douth's relatives.; Little Fritz was taken, under protest, it is said, by his mother's brother, Fred Hornung, of 3974 Williams street, Denver.; Ten days ago Hornung gave the boy 60 cents and put him on a train for Greeley, where another uncle, George Dauth, was taking care of Fred's sister, Lulu. Mr. Douth has three children of his own and was unable to take care of the newcomer, so he asked the aid of the board and Fred will be committed to the state home soon.
