Guard Claims Many Students for Two Weeks
College Men Belonging to National Guard Are Encamped Near Golden; Young man, join the National Guard," must be the latest interpretation of Horace Greeley's famous words. That is, to judge from the great number of college men who are in training with the two Greeley companies at the state rifle range near Golden, Colorado. Two full coaches and an over-loaded baggage car gives ample proof that college men cater to military life. The troops left Greeley Saturday, June 8, to stay until June 23. Men who are at present or have been enrolled at Teachers College and are now at Golden: Captain George Irvin, Second Lieutenant George Dauth, Jr., First Sergeant Charles E. Hobson, Sergeants Leslie Dauth, Oscar R. Romine, William H. Fitzgerald, Reece P. Hopkins. Corporals Charles E. Reeder, Paul V. McKinley. Privates Roy A. Newkirk, Bob E. Blake, Robert E.
