1932-05-19 – Greeley Daily Tribune – June Dauth Funeral ⧉

Pall bearers for George Dauth Jr., at the funeral Friday afternoon, 2 o'clock at Macy's, will be Harold Jones, Barton Meeker, August Baab, Maurice Burbridge, Joe James and Merle Ogle. Honorary pall bearers, announcing the death of Dauth; were issued Wednesday by W.C. Danks, adjutant general of Colorado. The orders state: "Lieutenant Dauth entered the service of the Colorado National Guard as a private in Headquarters company, Third Battalion, 157th infantry, on Nov. 6. 1923, where he served efficiently in the grades of corporal, sergeant and staff sergeant until May 25, 1927, when he was discharged to accept a commission as second lieutenant. He served as second lieutenant in the same organization from May, 25, 1927, until Feb. 7, 1930; when he received his promotion to first lieutenant, in which grade he was serving at the time of his death. In the passing of Lieutenant Dauth, the National Guard loses a most enthusiastic and energetic young officer, and this office extends to his relatives and host of friends most sincere sympathy. ⧉
