Mrs. Eva Katherine Sanger, pioneer resident of the Morrison district, passed away at her home near Morrison Thursday afternoon, January 12. She had suffered from a heart and kidney ailment for the past six weeks. Eva Katherine Dauth was born in Reinhessen, Germany, June 4, 1864. She came to the United States with her brother, George Dauth in 1884, coming directly to Denver, where she was married to Charles Joseph Sanger, July 5, 1887. Following their marriage they resided in Denver and Leadville for several years before moving to their ranch home in Turkey creek canon. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary there in 1937. Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Sanger, all of whom are living. They are Karl and Earl Sanger of Pine, Colo, and Otto Sanger, Morrison. She is also survived by her husband ; two brothers, Louis Dauth of Denver and George Dauth of Greeley ; sister, Mrs. Lena Fitting of Denver, and two sisters living in Germany ; also five grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Woods Mortuary chapel Monday afternoon, with Rev. L. G. Dawson, officiating. Cremation at Riverside cemetery. ⧉
