EULOGY ON THE DEATH OF GEORGE DAUTH, JR. GIVEN AT GREELY LODGE OF ELKS ON MAY, 25, 1932
…been made captain of his company. Brother Dauth attended the summer training camp each year for the past nine years, from 1924 to 1931, and was keenly looking forward to being able to have attended ten consecutive years by attendance this year at the State Rifle Range at Golden, and thus become entitled to a merit medal. During the months of November and December 1927, he served with his company at the Columbine Mine in Weld County during the labor uprising and strike at the Coal Camp. June, as he was lovingly known to all many friends and associates, became a member of this order by initiation by petition for membership, proposed by his father on March 31st, 1926, and from the date of his initiation to the closing of his career, he enjoyed and appreciated his membership in this order. Seven years ago came his greatest grief, when his only and much beloved sister Elizabeth was taken from the home, which was again seen plunged into mourning by Junes death, Leaving to the bereaved parents but one child, a grown son, Leslie, now living with the parents in the family home. June has always enjoyed the best of health until strickened with appendicitis about three or four weeks ago, and underwent an operation, which was considered... ⧉
