…F.C. Bonfels > Mrs Verner Z Reed > Ruth Boetcher Humphrin Did the iron work on the International Trust Co. downtown. [Mother] Built fence around Stoiberhof on East 10th and Humbolt about 1911. At the same time the folks were having a strike at the shop. They boarded up the shop and had black shades on so no one knew they were working. They worked (Grandpas boys) night and day to finish fence on time as Lena Stoiber was a character and wouldn’t pay them unless finished on a certain day. The folks lived above the shop and Grandma used to throw her work water on the strikers. [Mother] Built fences around US Mint. Uncle Jake did door and iron work in front. [Eva] Uncle Louie made ornamental clock in the Denver Historical Society Bldg. [Mother] Uncle Jake did work for Children Hospital. Made clock in entrance also invented the lift in the [?]parlor[?] for pallets. Did not get a patent. [Eva] Made locks and bar for cells in Denver jail off Speer. Also kept up locks in repair until torn down (Uncle Willie).
