Jacob Fitting in 1948 was oldest living member belonging 67 yr Germania Lodge No 14. My father belonged to the I.O.O.F. Lodge and was one of the oldest members of the Odd Fellow Lodge. Also belonged to the Germanic Lodge and the Denver Turnverine or [Turn]verein. Lina and Jakob had 7 children. William Fitting born Feb 14th 1881 died May 29 1954. Louis Fitting born Jan 10 1885 died Dec 5 1944. Lena Fitting born Nov 14 1887 died Oct 16 1920. Lizzie Fitting born June 29 1889 died Oct 15 1979. Annie Fitting born Aug 8 1892. Eva Katherine Fitting born Sept 14 1895 died July 8 1979. All went to the Longfellow School at 12th and Welton St. Eva and Annie also went to Corona School and Manuel High School. Annie (Piano) and Eva (Violin) also went to Wolcott Conservatory of music. William Fitting married Belle Blanchard in Denver. Louis Fitting married Kate Peletier in Denver. Jacob Fitting Jr. Married Lula Berberig in Denver. Lena Fitting married Felix Kreyer in Denver. Lizzie Fitting married Martin Donahue in Boulder. Annie Fitting married Frank R Fraser in Denver. Eva Katherine Fitting married Willy Manz in Littleton. Lina and Jakob had 14 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. William Fitting had 2 sons, Howard W. and Jacob Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fitting had 2 sons and 1 daughter. Louis Jr, Joseph and Elizabeth [?]Weland[?] Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Fitting Jr. had 1 son and 1 daughter, Kenneth and Mildred Latchford. Mr. and Mrs. Felix Kreyer had 1 son, Frederick. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Donahue had 2 daughters…

Pages 8-9 is a family history of the Caroline (Lena) Dauth (Fitting) family written by Isabella Fraser. Pages 9-12 are selections about the Fittings from the book "German Pioneers in Colorado 1850-1900’s" by Jacob V Schaetzel. Pages 12-13 are selections about structures built by the Fittings from the book "Mile High Trolleys" by William C Jones. Page 14 are notes from Caroline (Lena) Dauth (Fitting) found in her bible. Page 15 are selections from "Denver In Slices" by Louisa Ward Arps. Pages 15-17 are a transcription of a conversation between Anna Fitting, Eva Fitting, Elizabeth Fitting, and Isabella Fraser. Pages 18-21 is a family history of the Caroline (Lena) Dauth (Fitting) family written by Eva Fitting. These notes were sent to Leslie Dauth by Isabella Fraser in the 1980s.
