…raised a niece (Phillip’s), Isabelle?, from infancy. She also had a brother Phillip who committed suicide and left 4 children. A sister they left in Germany with parents, committed suicide. Aunt Eva spoke of another sister in either Fort Morgan or Ft. Lupton. Mother (Anna) thought there was a sister in Leadville, name possibly Florence. Grandma took care of Phillip Jr for a while after his father’s death. But finally sent him to an orphanage as he was unruly.

Taken from Ann Dauth’s letter of Feb 79, Les wife. (Les is George’s son) George married Florence Yeaton from Lyons Nebraska in 1902 and who worked in Denver. George opened up a butcher shop in Greeley and Florence a millinery shop. George had his own slaughter house and some farms around Greeley. They had 6 children born to them. George Jr deceased (1933) Elizabeth deceased (1922) Donald deceased (3 yr old) Twin babies deceased, Leslie born 1908. They raised 3 children belonging to the deceased brother of George. These children were Fred, Elsie, and Louise all deceased. Other children from that family were Phillip and another girl, I think named Isabelle. They were raised by someone else. Pages 8-9 is a family history of the Caroline (Lena) Dauth (Fitting) family written by Isabella Fraser. Pages 9-12 are selections about the Fittings from the book "German Pioneers in Colorado 1850-1900’s" by Jacob V Schaetzel. Pages 12-13 are selections about structures built by the Fittings from the book "Mile High Trolleys" by William C Jones. Page 14 are notes from Caroline (Lena) Dauth (Fitting) found in her bible. Page 15 are selections from "Denver In Slices" by Louisa Ward Arps. Pages 15-17 are a transcription of a conversation between Anna Fitting, Eva Fitting, Elizabeth Fitting, and Isabella Fraser. Pages 18-21 is a family history of the Caroline (Lena) Dauth (Fitting) family written by Eva Fitting. These notes were sent to Leslie Dauth by Isabella Fraser in the 1980s.
