In 1901 Florence met George Dauth, who was working as a clerk at local grocery store. In 1904, Florence’s brother-in-law, Philip Dauth, and sister-in-law, Katie Dauth, both tragically died, leaving behind five children: Isabella, Louise, Phillip, Fred, and Elsie.91905-12-02 – Denver Post – Philip Dauth Suicide Florence and George adopted Louise, Fred, and Elsie while George’s other siblings cared for Isabella and Phillip.
